EXPERTS:
“A zesty lime-peel aroma introduces this finely textured, feather-light spätlese. It’s delicate in frame yet deeply concentrated, filling the mouth with ripples of sweet white grapefruit and tangerine flavors. Ripe and fruity yet invigorating and spry, it finishes with precision.” –Anna Lee C. Iijima, Wine Enthusiast

“As clean and fresh as a meadow of spring flowers, S-P’s Wehlener Sonnenhur spätlese is a delicate, bright, very floral and green apple and pear-inflected wine with no shortage of minerality, even if that latter character has yet to fully develop. A pinch of residual sugar is fully subsumed and balanced by tingling, tangy acids, and the length is excellent. A very fine example, best after 2020.” –John Szabo MS, WineAlign.com
