CLINE FAMILY CELLARS
Since 1982, Fred and Nancy Cline have celebrated their love of the land through production of delicious, accessible, and authentic California wines. Today, the couple owns many properties across the state, many of which are farmed with livestock. And not just to produce grapes for wine production; thus, encouraging the important value of biodiversity with their broader philosophy of sustainable farming and agriculture.
Cline produces delicious Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Syrah. However, they are probably best known for their legendary Cline Zinfandel – a benchmark example of this distinctively Californian varietal. Offering consumers a focused yet wide range of flavours, styles, and grapes from sustainably farmed vineyards, the Cline family continues to deliver a lineup of wines in every price range that consistently exceed expectations.
2015 OLD VINE ZINFANDEL
Wine production in the New World has often drawn inspiration from traditions and techniques employed in Europe; Zinfandel, however, is a uniquely American contribution to the world of wine – a grape showcasing the power, ripeness, and spice that associated with the hot, sunny Californian growing season. While Cline Family Cellars grows Pinot Noir, Syrah, Mouvedre, and many other international varieties, it is Zinfandel that has proven their flagship. The Cline family identified early on the provenance and value of making excellent Zinfandel, with patriarch Fred Cline planting the original Zinfadel acreage in the late 1960’s. Today, these heritage vines serve as a testament to his vision and desire to produce a wine of distinctive Californian character.
Zinfandel is the ultimate BBQ red wine. Jam packed with dark red and black fruit flavours – accompanied by distinctive and complex notes of spice and smoke, this red is pure magic served alongside burgers, ribs, chicken and chops from the grill.

“An interesting mineral aroma lends a distinct profile to this otherwise full-bodied, dry and moderately tannic wine. It has a good palate-cleansing grip, plus raspberry and mineral flavors and a tangy finish.” –J. Gordon, WineEnthusiast.com
