The 2011 Blanc de Blancs from Graham Beck Wines is produced from 100% Chardonnay and delivers the personality and profile one expects from this famous Blanc de Blancs style of sparkling wine with bright citrus fruit, toasty brioche aromas and a bright, cheerful personality making it perfect drinking all on its own, or at the table with food.

WITH FOOD
Fine Blanc de Blancs style sparkling wines such as this are extremely food friendly and versatile partners at the table. Classic pairings include lightly flavoured and delicately textured fish like sea bass or halibut, or richer more decadent shellfish like lobster or scallops. This wine is also an outstanding choice to serve at Sunday brunch with texturally delicate dishes like soufflés, omelets or lightly dressed spring salads. Finally, sparkling wines are always a tasteful choice to serve as an aperitif, either on their own or with salty finger foods prior to dinner.

EXPERT OPINION
“Full straw-yellow. Fresh on the nose but complicated by some older juice, offering scents of apple, caramel, musky lees, toast and porcini. Full, vinous and toasty in the mouth, showing much softer bubbles than the recently disgorged non-vintage bottlings. Notes of butter, toffee and porcini lead to a slightly tired finish, even though this wine is higher in acidity and lower in residual sugar than the non-vintage bottlings. As satisfying as a good mature Champagne now but should be consumed soon.” –Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com
